The Driver Era has been a band on everyone's radar these past few years, we all remember the viral videos of Ross Lynch rocking out on stage. I actually had the pleasure of seeing the Driver Era at a local radio festival in Orlando, FL back in 2018 when they were just starting to catch the public’s attention, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by their performance. They absolutely rocked out on stage, they were able to get a crowd going even as openers at this festival, I mean it was literally the middle of the day, and if you’re a fan of the Disney Channel Original movie “Teen Beach Movie” they of course, cover “On my Own”. After such a killer performance I went home and decided to listen to their music and it did not disappoint, their music is extremely fun, the kind of music you listen to in the car with the windows down, screaming along to each lyric. Now seeing how huge the band has gotten is pretty crazy, going from being the opener to a small little radio festival to embarking on a world wide headlining tour is amazing to see, and extremely well deserved. If you get the chance to see the pop rock duo live I highly suggest you go do it, even if you don’t know their music that well. That’s the beautiful thing about The Driver Era shows, it doesn’t matter if you have just stumbled across them for the first time, or if you are a long-time super fan who knows all of the words to every song, you’re always going to have a good time.

The band recently dropped a new single entitled “Malibu” from their third studio album “Summer Mixtape” out September 16th. Check out the new single + music video here
